The Grief and Loss Ministry at Assumption Parish responds to those who suffer the loss of a loved one through death, or the loss of a spouse through the ending of a marriage relationship. This is accomplished through pastoral care and counseling, self-help support groups, and special workshops.
We the Living is a support group for adults who have suffered a loss through death. The loss can be a spouse, child, a friend, parent or sibling. The program is 12 weeks, with sessions held in the fall (September) and winter (late January). The group meets on Tuesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Finnegan Room. The sessions are directed by a trained facilitator. They are open to all persons of faith and there is no cost. Contact Carol Barron at 610-867-7892 for information.
Note: The exact dates for the groups and workshop are published in the parish bulletin.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is dedicated to becoming a community of disciples of Jesus Christ. As disciples we make Jesus Christ a living reality in the lives of the members of our parish family. By guiding and encouraging our people to discipleship through a heightened awareness of our Lord's presence in their lives, the parish community becomes a visible and active expression of the Living Christ in our world today.
