Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church
Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary                       Roman Catholic Church

Our goal is to build a welcoming and vibrant parish community for all ages and all walks of life. We welcome current members, new members, and visitors to our parish.  At the Church of the Assumption, we believe that a healthy parish life is everyone’s responsibility and that members feel a vested interest in the life of the parish when they are involved. Our hospitality ministers greet parishioners, hand out bulletins, help seat people, and collect the offering during Mass.  Volunteers of all ages are needed for this ministry.

We need hospitality greeters at every weekend Mass.  Choose the Mass of your choice to help out one Sunday per month.

To join us, contact Jenny Sweterlitsch at 610-882-1699 or email at

Neighborhood Welcomers

Our goal is a warm welcome all the way through a family's adjustment to their new home, parish community and any other help that might be needed. Parishioners visit our newest members with a welcome basket, provided by the parish, of items from many of our ministries.

It is a wonderful way to meet new people as well as offering a little kindness as a sign of welcome to a new parishioner.

To volunteer or for more information about this ministry contact Mary in the Parish Office at 610-867-7424.

Mission Statement

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is dedicated to becoming a community of disciples of Jesus Christ. As disciples we make Jesus Christ a living reality in the lives of the members of our parish family. By guiding and encouraging our people to discipleship through a heightened awareness of our Lord's presence in their lives, the parish community becomes a visible and active expression of the Living Christ in our world today.
