RCIA The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults: Steps on the Journey of Faith

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is the process through which adults prepare to celebrate the sacraments of initiation-Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist--with the Catholic community of faith. This is a gradual process during which the person journeys with others and is formed in the Catholic way of life, a life of discipleship rooted in Christ and enlivened by the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

RCIA meets on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM in the Finnegan Room.  Special arrangements could be made if you can not come to classes on Wednesdays.  Join us!

Mission Statement

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is dedicated to becoming a community of disciples of Jesus Christ. As disciples we make Jesus Christ a living reality in the lives of the members of our parish family. By guiding and encouraging our people to discipleship through a heightened awareness of our Lord's presence in their lives, the parish community becomes a visible and active expression of the Living Christ in our world today.
