Assumption Ministries
Joining a Ministry is an excellent way to fulfill your Baptismal call of service to one another. Our Ministries utilize the talents and gifts that God has given our parish community. Please prayerfully consider joining one of these ministries. If you are interested in volunteering your time and talent, or if you have any questions regarding the following ministries, please contact our parish office.

The primary role of the altar server is to assist the priest in the celebration of the liturgy during Mass.
Eucharistic Ministers​
​
The Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion assist the Celebrant at Mass in sharing the Body and Blood of Christ.
​
The Finance Committee represents the parishioners of Assumption B.V.M. parish as advisors to our pastor for all the financial matters of the parish.
​
The members of our Funeral Ministry represent our parish in that important ministry of consolation.
​
Grandmas Helping Grandmas was inspired by those who are going above and beyond the traditional role of a Grandmother. We celebrate and support deserving Grandmas through random acts of kindness.
​
Hospice ministry takes place at the crossroads of life, the afterlife, being human, and walking with Christ. It takes a special kind of person who has a special kind of calling to do well in this field. You’ll need to be highly empathetic, attentive to people’s needs, compassionate, and hopeful.

Our hospitality ministers greet parishioners, hand out bulletins, help seat people, and collect the offering during Mass. Volunteers of all ages are needed for this ministry.

God is present in his Living Word. In order to be acted upon, the Word must be heard; therefore, to be heard it must be proclaimed.

Formerly RCIA: The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. Join our faith community or dive deeper into your Catholic faith with weekly courses.

The women and men in the Prayer Chain offer prayers of petition for requests received from fellow parishioners.
​
Top Gun Ministries is a Christ-centered ministry dedicated to preparing the local church to equip, empower, and deploy men in Christian service to their family, church, community and the world.
​
Join us as we knit prayer shawls for those suffering a loss, experiencing an illness, or celebrating a special event.
​
Assumption Sewing Sisters are a dedicated group of ladies who make quilts with love and prayers for parishioners and others who are ill or in need of comfort and warmth.
Assumption Organizations
​
The Knights of Columbus was formed to render financial aid to members and their families. Mutual aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy members and their families. Social and intellectual fellowship is promoted among members and their families through educational, charitable, religious, social welfare, war relief and public relief works.
Meetings are held in the dining hall on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 7:00PM in the Coll Room.

Coda is a twelve-step program for adults with troubled relationships. The group meets every Thursday evening from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the Fritz Room in the church basement.
